Our Bible class went on a field trip down to the poor people. Their houses are but one or two rooms and they have no way of warming themselves for the cold winter ahead. My class put together boxes of things they would need for winter including: food, blankets, toys for the kids, etc.  When we brought it down there, they were thrilled to have it. The smiles on their faces are unforgettable. :)

Hahaha, this was a little hula-hooping contest between us. Our team was the first to get out for that game at the Staff Olympics ...so we decided to make a new game.

Tonight is the talent show for our Youth Group (Watt=z) and my friend friend and I made a routine for gymnastics, so later on today I am going to try to post it on here.

Drummer from Newsboys

This summer, at a pool, we saw the drummer from the band Newsboys, M took a picture with him, sadly I didn't. But here is the picture:

Our day trip to Elmadag.

These are pictures I took at Elmadag, a village in Turkey known for their Ottamen style houses. The black and white ones are Ottamen styled.

I painted the furniture in my room and rearranged all the furniture, too. It turned out really well. My mom helped me so that it went quickly!

Writing Poetry

Last week I wrote a poem and won first place for my school.
My prize was that I got a pencil and two books. One is about
Nancy Drew, and the other is a diary about someone's life in history.
Although I like to win, I mostly like just having
fun writing the poem. My dad is the one to
thank. I think he's the one who inspired
me to start writing poetry. Here's my poem!

I Get Real Bored in Math Class

I get real bored in math class,

So I find something to do.

I could be a scientist

And find a cure for the flu.

I dream that I'm a cowgirl

With a big rodeo show,

A horse that's going wild --

I'm a real fantastic pro!

I dream that I'm a builder

With hammers and tiny nails,

Working hard all day and night

Even when it rains and hails.

I dream that I am a clown

With a polka dotted suit

Walking like a penguin as

I am playing on the flute.

Then my teacher says “Esther!”

And I'm up within a blink.

I was sleeping on math books --

Now I have to start to think!

Here Comes Summer

It feels so much like summer and I am really exited
 because last summer we (my cousins and I) had a blast.
I'm not even sure I can wait that long, but it will come
eventually. While I'm there I'll spend time wisely
because the summer is limited!
